This microfiction was created using the word Established.
Lana was shopping with her three young children when she saw a high school friend, Cindy, whom she hadn’t seen since they’d graduated years ago.
They carried on a causal conversation about the old times, then turned to recent times.
“So, what’ve you been doing?”
Lana smiled. “I’m a stay-at-home mom and write for several online publications.”
Cindy scrunched up her nose. “Oh, so you don’t have a real job, like an established career, being successful?”
“Three healthy children, a happy marriage, and making money writing. I think I’m fortunate.” Lana walked away feeling very proud of herself.
That'll teach mean ol' Cindy to scrunch up her nasty nose--! 👍💪😅
